very interesting

wonder if we also feel somehow safer and can reveal more intimate things...I know many of my so-called online friends, have a deeper look at my soul than those who live in the same neighborhood....good food for thought

very interesting! Just something I noticed, remember back then circa 2000 "cyber" was the buzzword and now it seems to have gone out of style? Who still uses "cyber"? I don't!

I carry out business with people I've never met too. one client, I don't even know how old he is or what he looks like- but yet I receive a paycheck from him and trust him to pay me and know mundane random details of his life.

I recall hearing that in Venice in the middle ages many people wore masks - enabling them to behave in ways that they would not had they been face-to-face. I think the screens of our PCs are the modern equivalent.
